Great White Shark diet and feeding habits

Quote from Jaws...
Hooper: Boys, oh boys... I think he's come back for his noon feeding.
Young great white sharks eat fish, rays, and other sharks. Adults Great Whites primarily eat fish, smaller sharks, turtles, dolphins, including pinnipeds such as seals and sea lions, small toothed whales (like belugas), otters, and sea turtles. They also eat carrion (dead animals that they have found floating dead in the water). Great whites do not chew their food. Their teeth rip prey into mouth-sized pieces which are swallowed whole. A big meal can satisfy a great white for up to 2 months.

They are apex predators; the only animals known to attack them are other great whites and orcas. Great whites are warm-bodied (certain parts of the body running at higher temperatures, while the heart and gills run at sea-temperature), keeping most of their body up to 14°C above the surrounding water, which would suggest a high metabolism. Despite that, the few estimates that have been made suggest they are economical with their calories and can go weeks between meals. Due to problems keeping great whites in captivity, no concrete figures for this exist.
