Re: help

Hi newbie! .... welcome to Artful Angler.

There are some pretty good spots in and around the Bristol area.

In the way of rivers ...
The little Avon (Stone and Berkeley) is good fun for chub, trout and grayling.

The Bristol Avon around Chippenham is good for large Barbel and Chub.

The Severn and Warks Avon north of Gloucester (particularly Tewkesbury) is an excellent day out.

The Frome in Whitminster and Stroud is good for some chub and trout.

The Wye at Symonds Yat is a great place to fish ! ... very scenic and the river just looks full of fish. Day tickets available fron hotel at Symonds Yat. My cousin caught his 7.5 pound chub from here. Garlic Spam!.

There are rivers sound of Bristol but I am not to familiar with these, with checking in Veals (fishing shop center of Bristol).

To be honest, the fishing has seemed a little quiet since the floods afew years back and the levels always seem to be up. Hopefully things will improve!!.
